What do you do when you miss the buss?

Today I wanted to be early, I needed to be on time. It was cold when I awakened, the entire region was in the twenties (Fahrenheit), it could not have been too much warmer when I exited the front door. I was prepared though, thermal underwear, ski hat and the works.

The still, cold and relatively dense air transmitted sound really well this morning, I could hear my bus at the stop before mine, for sure it was my bus, all the signature sounds were in check. I was not yet at my stop, I had been running but not for long, so I would need to pick up the pace, I could make it I thought, but the bus was just too fast, perhaps if I were a cheetah or Usain Bolt? I just was not quick enough, I watched it go by.

So what do you do when you miss the bus? I thought I would return home to now have the breakfast I was too late to consume and just wait for the next bus.

Today I wanted to be early, I needed to be on time. So when you miss the bus, just keep on moving.

Today is going to be a good day.

I'm Good

Just borrowing from the The Clipse's tune featuring Pharrell that is so full of vibes, the lyrics are familiar to my generation I am sure. The appeal to the Samurai in each warrior, the reference to Ice Cube's "today was a good day" certainly brings back memories of yester-year. For sure, I could reiterate I'm good, and why not.

Standing Room Only!

Would you ride the bus from Kingston to Montego Bay if there was standing room only. I certainly would, after all who wants to wait on the next bus that may or may not come. I would want to get there earlier anyway.

One thing does lead to another, small steps can take you to big accomplishments. Despise not the day of small things.

Post ACS

Fact is there seemed to have been less attendees at this meeting compared to the last meeting in Fall 2005. The fact that we are in an "economic depression" I am sure could explain it all. There was an obvious absence of several PIs as well as some prominent California groups. Perhaps the west coast folks are doing just that, being west coast folks.

All in all it was a fantastic meeting, a huge success, lots of great talks and poster presentations. The exhibitors as usual were there in their numbers. It was a pleasure meeting and talking with some of our vendors.

Well until next post, walk good.
